Sofia, 26 November 2020 – Opportunities for risk and equity financing are the main topic of the first strategic meeting of the beamuplab program, held online today. The host of the meeting is the Fund of Funds. Highly qualified experts from the Fund of Funds represent the nature, structure and advantages of this type of financial instruments, as well as the key elements of the combined financing.

„At a time of crisis in which we are, startups and SMEs have an even greater need for risky and equity investments and Bulgarian Stock Exchange together with its partners in the beamuplab is actively committed to facilitating their access to capital. We are convinced that these efforts will give a boost to the companies and they will go through this difficult period in the most successful way“, said Dr Manyu Moravenov, Executive Director of BSE and Associate Professor at VUZF.

Here are the highlights of the meeting: Shared experience in raising capital by a start-up company in the face of Naicoms and its MedCare brand; The approach venture capital funds choose which company to invest in - illustrated by Impetus Capital; The benefit of the expertise of the global consultant as a party in the process, both, from the point of view of the company seeking funding and from the position of the fund that invests in a company - presented by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The last session is expected with the greatest interest, in which the companies Evrotrust Technologies, Kolev & Kolev, MClimate and Smart Organic will give their special presentation or the so-called investor pitch to investors, and will receive feedback and recommendations from them in the person of the fund manager of the Fund of Funds, Morningside Hill, and Impetus Capital.

Moderator of the meeting is Hristo Nikolov, a proven business journalist with extensive experience in online and print media, covering economic issues since 2002. He is the host of the morning block „Business Start“ on Bloomberg TV Bulgaria and of the show „ImoTiTe“. He is a winner of the highest journalism award in Bulgaria „Chernorizets Hrabar“.
